TATTOO AFTERCARE: Remove bandage after 2-4 hours. Spray tattoo with Bactine spray and let sit for 15 minutes. Be sure your hands are clean and wash your tattoo delicately with warm water and antibacterial soap using only your fingertips. DO NOT use a washcloth. Clean the tattoo of all ointment, excess ink, and plasma. Rinse thoroughly! Once the tattoo is clean, allow it to AIR DRY for about 10-15 minutes. Next, apply a VERY thin layer of ointment to your new tattoo. Be sure not to over-saturate your tattoo with ointment. LESS IS BEST!

**WASH, AIR-DRY, APPLY OINTMENT to your new tattoo ONCE in the A.M. and ONCE in the P.M. for the first 3 days.**

*AFTER 3 DAYS* switch from ointment to the Aveeno lotion. Lotion may be used up to 3-5 times per day if needed., continue to keep the tattoo clean and moisturized for the next 2 weeks or until fully healed.

DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH YOUR NEW TATTOO!!

If your new tattoo scabs, LEAVE IT ALONE! If you pick it, you will pull out the color. Itching is a sign of healing. Seriously. do NOT scratch, pat if you must.

DO NOT SOAK OR SUBMERGE

No swimming pools, hot tubs, rivers, lakes, or bathtubs! Showers are fine… recommended actually. You can get wet just DO NOT submerge your new tattoo. This can lead to infection and your color can appear “washed out”.

DO NOT TAN!

UV exposure will fade your tattoo immensely, also OUCH…your new tattoo is already tender, baking it will just make it more painful.

- DO NOT HAVE SEX

-DEFINITELY use sunscreen-

but only after your tattoo is fully healed. Avoid sun exposure until then. Take care of your new art and it will stay bright and crisp for years to come!

**REMINDER everyone that has a tattoo thinks they are an expert, but WE are the actual experts. Call US before you refer to a friend or Google.

The piece you are given at the shop will be worn for 24 hours, then replaced with a fresh piece.

If you return to the shop for your fresh piece it will be applied there, if you are applying it yourself, you will cut out the correct size (rounding edges helps with adhesion), peel of old sandiderm (warm water helps, ie. in the shower) wash the tattoo fully with DIAL GOLD soap, and let fully dry.

Peel off the paper backing and apply right away with pressure to the tattoo starting in the middle and working your way to the edges. Once all edges are sealed, peel off the plastic on top.

Leave your fresh piece on 3-5 days
